The photographs emerge from a two week camping roadtrip my wife and I made through New Zealand’s South Island, where the road seemed endless and the landscape felt alive. Traveling the South Island left us with a deep sense of wonder and freedom—moments where time slowed and the ordinary turned luminous. I carried both my Leica M6 and M240, letting film and digital compliment each other along the way, each frame a way of holding on to how this landscape moved us.
