Always IconicTaken near Atlanta's Five Points, I love the nostalgic feel in this area of Downtown.
RENEWALSpring '17 has made it to Atlanta. I love this time of year and I love John Portman's iconic architecture.
LostDeep in the Andes Mountains you will find Machu Picchu. A soul stirring Incan city that was rediscovered about a century ago. I took this photo just as a storm was breaking up on a mystical afternoon in the lost city.
Colors of Oia
SantoriniThe magnificent blues of Santorini and the white villas that overlook the caldera are a visual treat. I was lucky enough to spend a week here photographing and exploring some of the less touristy spots of the island. I really fell in love with the little village of Imerovigli and I dream of going back.
BangkokThere is plenty of adventure to be had in Bangkok and if you love Thai food this is paradise. I took this photo in Bangkok's China Town on the famous Yaowarat Road.
Phi Phi LehThis beautiful island in Thailand will take your breath away if you are lucky enough to see it without the hoards of tourist that visit everyday. We were lucky enough to spend the night on the bay with a small group of people and had the bay pretty much to ourselves. I've had some pretty great travel experiences and if you have a sense of adventure spending the night on Phi Phi Leh is an incredible experience.
Oia Probably one of the best places in the world to catch a sunset.
Fall On MePiedmont Park is a favorite neighborhood subject of mine. This shot was taken in early fall. The park was active as always and the entire meadow was bathed in that late day light.
Skaros RockI took this sunset shot from the tiny village of Imerovigli, Greece. The haze in the sky in Santorini can create some incredibly unique sunsets. I saw the sun set 5 times in Santorini and all were spectacular, but no two looked the same.
DubaiJust outside of the city and it's incredible skyscrapers you will find vast desert. We spent the day exploring the dunes with a private guide. Dubai is an interesting place to visit and full of friendly people.
Bang Tao Beach
R I S ELate day long exposure from the Jackson Street Bridge.
The ParkI love weeknight walks in Piedmont Park.
Jackson Street LightThis classic Atlanta scene is a local and tourist favorite at sunset.

FixationAtlanta is my home. I love the city and I put the love and energy I feel into the images I create of the city. This scene is shot over Piedmont Park's active oval and features several of downtown's iconic buildings. The sun is just below the horizon leaving just enough light to set the sky on fire. Having a good tripod and knowing how your camera works in low-light situations is key to executing a shot like this. I processed the raw file through Adobe LR to get the finished look I wanted.
From The Mountain TopThis print is available in partnership with fourofour.co. Click the link in the menu at the top of the page. The following caption is from my recent feature on fourofour.co 's social network posts. Full credit to fourofour.co:The stark juxtaposition of the tranquility found atop Stone Mountain and the frenetic city lights in the background is what keeps your eyes locked and takes your breath away in this photo. .With this in mind, @j.jason.chambers said "I know a lot of people that crave the peaceful solitude of nature and others that thrive in an urban environment. I find myself in love with both at times and when I'm in one environment for a while I can't help but think about what I'm missing in the other. I took this photo with that struggle in mind; though I love the beauty in the natural world I can't help but be distracted by the bright lights calling me home."May this view continue to call you home, no matter how far away you find yourself.
